I went by for lunch today. I called the order in and was ready in about 15 minutes or so. The staff was super nice and the food was great. I got the Shrimp and Thangs. The wings were really good and the shrimp tasted awesome. I would highly recommend stopping by or getting lunch or dinner togo. Street parking is available and they have plenty of seating inside. I will definitely be going back.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! A MUST TRY! I was visiting Carolina Beach, NC for Thanksgiving and needed a caterer. I Googled Black-owned restaurants and found Truck’s — and let me tell you, they did not disappoint! I called and spoke with Ms. Ramona, shared exactly what I wanted for our Thanksgiving meal, and they made it happen with excellence. The pictures online are true, but the taste is even better. I’m sure the locals already know how special Truck’s is, but if you’re visiting Wilmington or Carolina Beach, it is absolutely worth the drive. My family told me over and over that I made the right decision. We ordered Chicken Alfredo, Fried Whiting, Salmon, shredded chicken for sliders, and 20 lbs of Jerk Turkey — and every single dish was seasoned, flavorful, and cooked with love. If we spend another Thanksgiving in Carolina Beach, Truck’s will handle all of our catering again. Hands down, phenomenal food and outstanding service!
Well, y'all, the hype is real. If you're looking for soul food, Southern cooking, comfort food, food that gives you a hug, this is it. My husband found Truck's on his lunch break and could smell the fried chicken, so we gave it a try for dinner and it was so worth it. The fried chicken was amazing, the macaroni and cheese (which I'm picky about-don't try to make me mac-n-cheese unless you have at least 10 years experience and some references) was so good, the okra was amazing, and y'all-the GREEN BEANS. I wish I knew how to make them like Truck's does because they were the best green beans I've ever had! There were white potatoes and the pot liquor/potlikker was so flavorfull. Above and beyond all of this was the owner, Ramona. My sister and I came to pick up the order and I've never felt like someone's bestie faster than when Ramona introduced herself. She made us feel welcomed; you could tell she took pride in her business and the food she serves her community. If I can leave you with one thing to remember: go to Truck's Chicken 'n Fish (if I can leave you with two things, then ORDER THE GREEN BEANS). xo Ramona, Erin.
The food was great. Make sure that you are mindful of what you order to drink if you do not like sweet drinks. The lemonade strawberry drink was amazing.
The serving portions are now and later. The kool-aid had me thinking about back in the days of Jervay bricks era. Service was a1. They were even giving out free doughnuts to customers.
Everything is absolutely delicious During our 17 yr. Wedding Anniversary Wrightsville Beach vacation last week, my husband and I dined at the restaurant. We had the pleasure and privilege of meeting the owner, Ramona as well as the Head Cashier/Waitress, Natalie and the Head Cook, Tallani. I do apologize if I misspelled your name. Thanks so much for sharing your Memphis vacation highlights. We look forward to coming back through real soon to enjoy another one of your home cooked meals. FYI- The Spot and grits was definitely "spot on" and fantastic. My husband can't stop talking about how much he enjoyed the Seafood and Shrimp plate. The mac and cheese and fried okra magically transports you back to Grandma's kitchen table. Definitely looking forward to sharing this Southern cuisine jewel with friends and family. Bon Appetit!!
Recommended to us when a co worker overheard us talking about the best fried chicken in Wilmington. Went for lunch. We each ordered a 3 piece chicken combo, 2 legs & thigh, a side of Mac and cheese and a single piece of catfish. The chicken was sizzling, crispy, and perfectly seasoned. The catfish was also crisp and cooked perfectly. But the max and cheese!! Incredible. Served with Texas toast. The staff was very pleasant and helpful, our (sweet tea and lemonade) drinks were never empty. As we were leaving we were told a buffet would be starting next month, Wed-Fri. I will check it out. We left with some menus to put on the bulletin board.
Thanks to Diana, I chose the catfish sandwich and fries for a delicious late lunch. She is a kind woman and got me a piece of cake from a local baker . I am blessed and hope she enjoys New Orleans for her birthday! Not sure how to do this, but I went back for a fried shrimp sandwich that was tender, juicy, and delicious! The ladies were as awesome as ever and the tea was flavored perfectly! Hope to return for the chicken tomorrow!
